Derbyshire County Council has published its new Council Plan 2025-29 which sets out its direction and priorities for the next four years.

As a key partner/stakeholder we contacted you last September to encourage you to take part in a six-week consultation we held when the Council Plan was in draft form. We would like to thank you if you were able to take the time to share your views and help us to shape our plan.

We are proud to unveil the new Council Plan 2025-2029 (link available here) which we believe clearly outlines our vision and the outcomes we seek to achieve, along with employee values and customer commitments.

Setting out our key priorities over the next four years, our new Council Plan focuses on those services which residents and communities have told us are most important to them and sets out ways we will continue to drive forward improvements to services, to increase efficiency, value for money and to mitigate and overcome the challenges we face.

Key to this work is the introduction of a new vision and new outcomes we seek to achieve alongside partners.

In order to deliver the vision and outcomes, a set of values and customer commitments have been agreed with the help of colleagues across the council, and which will help shape the culture across the authority and deliver consistent and customer focused-behaviour.
